On Sunday, September 12, thousands of enthusiastic people will arrive at GreenFest Philly looking to both learn and more importantly to have FUN. In 2009, nearly 20,000 people came to the event at our location in Headhouse Square at 2nd and South Streets and it once again proved to be a huge success! In 2010 we hope to bring even more variety and introduce more people to the wonderful world of sustainable life...that's where you come in...

WHO’S COMING:

Based on last year’s success and this year’s expansion, we expect no less than 20,000 people, arriving hungry to learn, join, buy, make merry and eat the right stuff.

MISSION:

To accelerate the pace of greening in Philadelphia and the planet.

THEMES:

The 2010 festival is being organized around the theme of FASHION. Did you know that it takes 1,800 gallons of water to grow enough cotton to make one pair of jeans, 400 gallons of water to make one cotton t-shirt, and that it takes 101 gallons of water to make one pound of wool? Did you know that in 1992, over 600,000 tons of pesticides (including cyanide) were used on cotton? Think of all the water saved and less pesticides used if you fixed the hole in your clothes, instead of going out and buying new. This year's theme strives to educate on clothing repair, buying from and donating to second-hand stores, and setting up fun clothing swaps for you and all your friends at home!

YOUR BENEFITS:
  • Ready access to a huge enthusiastic, primed pool of citizens/customers.
  • Listing on GreenFest’s website, including 2 lines about your green service.

200 spaces are available. Most spaces are about 10’ x 10’ and all spaces come with a 6’ table and one chair.* Additional chairs and tents can be rented at an additional cost. If you are bringing your own tent, or will fill the entire 10' x 10' space with your display you MUST let us know in your application. We do our best to place exhibitors in an order so as to give everyone as much room as possible. Some spaces are not big enough for a full tent.

*Exceptions will be considered. We suggest your applying immediately.

GREEN CRED’s:

Your company or service should authentically be green. Whether it’s your policies, programs, materials or merchandise, sustainability should be at the heart of any exhibitor’s mission and/or presentation. If applicable, cite your membership in the SBN.

ENCOURAGING:

We applaud your interactive displays and demonstrations. If you have an interactive display and would be available and interested in setting up a portion of your display the week prior to the festival, please let us know. We may have a media opportunity for you!
