The GreenFest Philly 2010 Staff:

Jen Bendik – Festival Producer
CineFest, Q Fest (formerly The Philadelphia International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival), Eastern State Penitentiary's Terror Behind the Walls, Film Independent's L.A. Film Festival just name a few of jen's favorite projects. Now in her fourth year coordinating GreenFest Philly, jen has a mixed career of running and working for high profile events and stage managing all over Philadelphia and Los Angeles. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Art History from Temple University and has been "green" before it had a label. Regardless of what you call it, jen has a passion for not only living sustainably, but teaching others how to do so as well.

Adam Terk - Assistant Festival Coordinator
A recent graduate of Syracuse University, Adam is interested in promoting environmentally friendly practices aimed at sustaining the global landscape for the future generations to come. That's why it's no coincidence that the GreenFest and Adam go together like vegan cookies and soy milk. In his free time he enjoys putting his geography degree to good use and traveling to far-off exotic lands.

Kaitlyn Bendik – Assistant to the Festival Producer
Kaitlyn is a recent graduate of Philadelphia University with a B.S. in Environmental and Conservation Biology. She has interned with Fairmount Park, The Schulykill Center for Environmental Education, and Urban Green Partnership. Her career goal is becoming an expert in reclaiming and remediating brownfields via phytoremediation. Her dream is to run her own Greyhound Rescue, and save all the animals she can. For now, she settles for having rescued her 9 year old greyhound, Jade, her 4 year old Bull Terrier mix, Sabine, and her foster, 2 year old Austrailian Cattle Dog mix Emma.

Maleka Fruean – Artistic Director
Maleka is the events coordinator at Big Blue Marble Bookstore, voted Best Bookstore for Kids in 2007 by Philadelphia Magazine. She has created and organized events for LAVA, a radical media center in west Philadelphia, Black Women's Arts Festival, and Ladyfest Philly. She is a mama, writer, artist, and aspiring activist.

Kathy Revelle - Eco-Fashion Show Coordinator
Kathy is a self-taught, freelance seamstress working out of her home and living in West Philadelphia, her native city. For the last 13 years, she has been collecting reclaimed fabric via thrift stores, yard sales, and hand-me-downs, and turning them into something handmade and beautiful.  Over the last 4 years, under the name SewKind, she has been making messenger bags, yoga mat bags and other accessorizing creations out of recycled and re-purposed upholstery fabric. SewKind includes clothing for both children and adults using both recycled and reclaimed fabrics.  SewKind also works towards creating sustainable wears by using hemp blended fabrics which are environmentally friendly and like all of her creations, one-of-a-kind.  Kathy enjoys creating, selling, and promoting local ".green" artists in our local communities.  Kathy is thrilled to be back again for her second year coordinating the GreenFest Eco-Fashion. She is both delighted and excited to spread our eco-fashion enthusiasm!

Allie Hudak-Assistant Eco-Fashion Show Coordinator

Allie Hudak has been working in the Fashion Industry for 10 years and is a graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.  This will be Allie's second year working with the GreenFest Philly Eco-Fashion show.  Through awareness, knowledge and great friends Allie's lifestyle has become greener and greener by the minute and is elated to show Philly how our Eco-awareness is expressed through our fabulous fashion senses!  Allie's become extremely passionate about her body and the food she puts into it.  Her goal is to attend The Institute for Integrated Nutrition in the next several months.  She has made the choice to favor a plant-based diet.  Not only is she giving her body the gift of good health, she is taking concrete steps to reduce her impact on the planet and preserve our precious resources!

Amy Hollaman – Entertainment Director
Amy is a Program Manager and Director of Camp Laughing Waters for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. She has worked with the ACLU of PA, Philadelphia Film Festival, Terror Behind the Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary, City Year AmeriCorps Program and the Philadelphia Public School District as a Community Organizer, Event Planner and Program Director. Amy loved both living and working in Madrid where she gained fluency in Spanish. And she is a proud graduate of Ursinus College with degrees in Gender & Women’s Studies and Spanish.
